Director, Strategic Funding Initiatives

IPC International, Inc. is looking to hire a Director, Strategic Funding Initiatives. This role will lead IPC’s initiatives related to partnership with federal, state and local governments, as well as community and industry stakeholders. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with IPC staff, industry leaders, and non-profit organizations to secure government and non-governmental funding to support IPC programs related to manufacturing, workforce education, research and development, and sustainability. The position will report to the Vice President of Global Government Relations. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute an IPC strategy for engaging with governmental and non-governmental entities to undertake programs and projects that address issues of importance to the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Oversee the use of internal and external resources to create and/or respond to funding opportunities, which includes but is not limited to the drafting of grant proposals and applications.  
  • Engage government officials at all levels of government to create funding opportunities related but not limited to:
    • Education and Workforce Training
    • Semiconductor Advanced Packaging
    • Factory of the future
    • Sustainability  
  • Collaborate with IPC Standards, Education and Solutions to identify funding needs across IPC activity areas and their alignment with available funding opportunities.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with non-governmental entities to jointly seek government funding for industry priorities.
  • Support and/or manage IPC’s participation in industry consortiums that have been established to secure government funding to support technological innovation and a more robust electronics manufacturing industry.  
  • Develop new IPC initiatives that align with the organization’s mission and industry needs and that are likely to generate governmental and industry funding support.
  • Other projects as necessary.

Manager, Industry Research and Engagement

IPC International, Inc. is looking to hire a Manager, Industry Research and Engagement.  The Manager, Industry Research and Engagement is responsible for driving IPC initiatives related to industry research. Item Quality Assurance Coordinator

IPC International, Inc. is looking to hire an Item Quality Assurance Coordinator.  The Item Quality Assurance Coordinator assists in the completion of the Department’s work and projects in a timely manner. Interacts professionally and cooperatively with other IPC departments and staff members and with organizations and individuals outside the Association.  This position will assist operational examination development activities related to psychometrics, examination building, quality assurance of exams.  Identifying and communicating defects in processes and making an effort for a continual improvement of the QA process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Examination Development – 40%

  • With the assistance of the Psychometrician produce technical documentation related to item, test, and program performance.
  • Design, construct, and test IPC examinations; assure accuracy and quality of finished product.
  • Troubleshoot software and operational problems.

Examination Maintenance – 40%

  • Quality Assurance Validation for Certification content
  • Review client exams for consistency with source files
  • Document and escalate deviations in client exams with source files
  • Audit tests for typographical errors, formatting errors, internal inconsistencies, and other quality problems, and clearly communicate quality issues.

Content Database Management – 20%

Director, Media Engagement

IPC International, Inc. is looking to hire a Director, Media Engagement. The Director for Media Engagement/PR leads IPC’s communications with media organizations globally to raise the stature of IPC programs and electronics industry priorities. In this role, the Director will leverage their expertise to design and execute proactive PR strategies that cultivate our relationships with national and international media outlets, engage our target audiences, and increase awareness of the electronics manufacturing industry and IPC’s role in supporting its growth.

The Director will be a spokesperson for IPC and strengthen the organization’s ability to marshal subject matter experts within IPC and the industry to serve as key voices on issues of global significance. To this end, the Director will secure media coverage and placement consistent with IPC priorities. The Director will report to the VP for Global Government Relations, but they will be expected to work with IPC departments across the global organization to support our media engagement priorities. In addition, this individual will manage outside communications consultants who support media engagement and global PR campaigns.    

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a global media strategy and work cross-organizationally with IPC leaders to implement the plan.
  • Manage targeted PR, global media campaigns to support key IPC initiatives.
  • Develop key media messages and supporting content to inform and engage media.
  • Cultivate a network of global media contacts who view IPC as a go-to source of authority on the electronics industry.

As Managing Editor, you will lead a thriving, world-class editorial team and provide effective guidance. You will be responsible for leading, supervising, managing, and coordinating activities of the editorial team. You are expected to lead by setting a good and positive example while engaging the team to achieve set goals.

Leadership duties include managing the workflow, deadlines, process improvement plans, team building, creating reports, and the overall quality of content.

As the managing editor, you will set the tone and direction for PCB007 Magazine. Must have proven leadership skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, and have knowledge of electronics manufacturing technology. Printed circuit board industry knowledge preferred. Previous managing editor experience also preferred. Must possess exceptional writing and editing skills and be comfortable leading and working alongside a team of editorial and marketing professionals.

Managing editor duties include strategizing, managing, and publishing daily, weekly, and monthly digital content related to printed circuit board fabrication. You will seek to improve content, coverage, and revenue through editorial content.
