Senior Technologist

IPC International, Inc. is looking to hire a Senior Technologist. This is a global remote/hybrid role and will ideally be in North America, Europe, or Asia. The Senior Technologist works with leading electronics companies and governments at the forefront of innovation to identify and deliver new solutions to IPC members and the industry. This role is within the IPC Technology Solutions department and reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

RESPONSIBILITIES

IPC Initiative Leadership: Take charge, set direction, and drive forward one of IPC's key initiatives – Advanced Packaging, Design, or combination of both. This leadership position requires strategic thinking and the ability to navigate the complexities of electronic packaging, electronic system design, and new ways of manufacturing.

Innovation and Solutions Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, lead, and execute initiatives that result in new solutions for IPC members, including new standards and workforce education training. You have extensive experience that spans the spectrum of electronic hardware systems, encompassing materials, design, electronic components, printed circuit boards, printed circuit board assembly, complex integrated systems, Ind4.0 manufacturing, qualification, quality/reliability assessment, and final system assembly.

Regional and Global Supply Chain Integration: In addition to your strong technical background is your extensive supply chain experience to lead and deliver IPC key initiatives. The role will involve interfacing with commercial companies and government entities regionally and globally.

Technical Expertise: Apply your expertise in electronic packaging, electronic system design, or complex integrated systems to set strategic direction and deliver new IPC solutions to members and industry. Stay abreast of industry technological advancements and industry trends to ensure IPC remains a leader in the rapidly evolving electronics manufacturing landscape.

IPC Publishing Group (I-Connect007), a subsidiary of IPC International, Inc., is looking to hire a Part-Time Contract Copy Editor. The Part-Time Contract Copy Editor assists the editorial team in reviewing and editing interviews and submitted content produced for daily, weekly, and monthly publications.

CORE ASSIGNMENTS

  • Review and edit articles and interviews as assigned for clarity, grammar, facts, and consistency in a way that maintains the author’s voice and intent. Content may range from a few hundred words to several thousand.

Digital Marketing Manager

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the planning, development, and implementation of all marketing strategies and marketing communications to achieve IPC Publishing Group’s, I-Connect007, annual business plan goals and objectives. This is the key marketing role is responsible for expanding I-Connect007 readership and increasing sales through direct marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop annual integrated digital marketing plan to increase the number of My I-Connect007 subscribers.
  • Increase readership, open rates, and engagement of newsletters through the development and implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Manage subscriber lists and distribution of magazines and newsletters, analyze and segment reader profiles to drive industry interaction with publications. 
  • Manage and distribute all newsletters. Responsible for coordinating content, building newsletters, working with production team on graphics and on-time distribution of newsletters to subscriber lists. 
  • Develop and manage “You’ve been published!” program, reaching out to all content contributors to promote posting content on their social media platforms. 
  • Manage Social Media Channels: Create and execute a social media content strategy and calendar to support I-Connect007 publications.
    • Cross-promote content on partner social media platforms.
    • Create and maintain social media following, around thought leadership topics.
    • Create paid campaigns when applicable.
  • Develop dashboards of metrics to monitor performance of marketing campaigns, e.g., newsletter open rates, subscriptions, e-book downloads, etc. Provide ongoing ROI reporting on key marketing campaigns and activities to evaluate overall program success and impact.
  • Work with sales team to develop specific, targeted marketing materials to attract new customers and close sales. This includes media kit content, special event promotions, house ads, and strategic content development.
  • Increase e-book registrations through the development of specific campaigns to targeted market segments. 
  • Manage third party vendors as needed to meet budget and performance expectations.
  • Occasional travel for industry events and meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/digital marketing is highly preferred.
  • 3+ years of B2B marketing experience or related is required. Must have a deep understanding of marketing.
  • Electronics industry, agency and association experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing successful sales lead generation campaigns, building a social media following and running digital marketing campaigns to increase customer engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, B2B Social Media Platforms.
  • Ability to work remotely on a full-time basis.
  • Some domestic travel is required, approximately 10% of the time.

CONTRACT Instructional Content Writer and Editor

IPC is looking to hire a CONTRACT Instructional Content Writer and Editor. The IPC Education team creates training courses for the diverse group of professionals involved in the design, fabrication, and assembly of the printed circuit boards and wire harnesses used in everything from coffee makers to cars and computers.

The team is looking for an Instructional Content Writer and Editor (ICWE) who will work with subject matter experts to distill scientific and technological concepts into understandable and engaging text for use in online, hybrid, and live courses as well as other instructional materials. The ICW will also conceptualize graphics to support the instructional copy they produce and employ best practices to develop student assessments and practice activities that align with instructional learning objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and Development – 70%

  • Work with subject matter experts to determine the scope of instruction and ensure the accuracy of instructional content.
  • Engage subject matter experts as well as web, print, and other resources to obtain, validate, and document the information required to develop instructional materials.
  • Use information obtained from subject matter experts and other reliable sources to create easily understandable scripts and text that align with the learning objectives of instructional materials.
  • Edit content for appropriate tone, voice, technical accuracy, style, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Conceptualize the graphics to facilitate the comprehension of narrated and written content, increase student engagement, and help students achieve learning objectives.
  • Develop assessments that facilitate student retrieval practice and measure student learning.
  • Follow industry standard (ADDIE) instructional design practices in the creation of all content and materials.

Analysis – 20%

Assist in determining the scope, goals, requirements, design, and success metrics for new education projects.

Evaluation – 10%

  • Participate in the development of surveys, assessments, and evaluation methods for all education products to determine educational effectiveness, user adoption, and satisfaction.
  • Analyze information on training research, new materials, methods, and techniques, and makes recommendations for their adoption by IPC.

REQUIREMENTS

  • MUST have experience and understanding of electronics manufacturing.
  • MUST have writing AND editing experience; specifically taking complex concepts and making them accessible to a wider audience.
  • MUST have experience doing Instructional writing.

Staff Liaison – Standards Development

IPC International, Inc. is looking to hire a Staff Liaison – Standards Development. This role manages standards development activities for sustainability and environmental concerns.  Work with technical advisory groups on IPC initiatives and assist in scoping projects with strategic focus.  Work with committee volunteers and subject matter experts to develop industry standards utilizing approved procedures, white papers and other documentation and make recommendations for new publications and projects.  Activities include conducting standards development work from concept to publication, interfacing with committee members and leaders, working with committee leaders, updating documentation based on committee input, preparing documentation for publication and recommend changes as needed for improvement. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the standard development projects for sustainability and environmental concerns while working with advisory groups on IPC initiatives to scope projects with strategic focus.
  • Provide technical support and communication to IPC Members and IPC Staff regarding standards and related documentation.
  • Manage online technical committee resource tools, including committee pages in standard development site,
  • Collaborate with suppliers in the development of software tools used in conjunction with standards.
  • Participate in development of related materials to supplement standards such as trade magazine articles regarding standards and technology and webpages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, science, or engineering.
  • 7 years of work experience in electronics or related field; 5 years of project management related experience preferred.  Strong skills in record-keeping for traceability and organization are a must along with good judgment and professional integrity. 
  • Must have knowledge about sustainability. 
  • This position requires an ongoing interface with global subject matter experts and staff members.
  • Strong writing, editing, organizational and communication skills, especially around technical content.

Manager of Workforce Partnerships

IPC International, Inc. is looking to hire a Manager of Workforce Partnerships. The Manager of Workforce Partnerships will coordinate with the Directors of Workforce Partnerships and Workforce Grants and Proposals to support IPC’s Apprenticeship, Pre-Apprenticeship, and grants programs. This role provides support for day-to-day logistics and implementation related to workforce development initiatives, apprenticeship pipeline development, apprenticeship enrollment, grant funding opportunities and initiatives, and other solutions-oriented activities.

Responsibilities

Research and Analysis – 25%

  • Analyze data, determine the status of timelines, and performance goals to come to a solution that best accomplishes successful project completion.
  • Researches and identifies potential funding sources to support workforce development, and/or apprenticeship efforts for IPC and member companies.

Project Management – 25%

  • Assist with grant-funded project activities, such as tracking and reporting of data related to trainees, apprentices, training, revenues/expenditures, and other deliverables to meet all project milestones.
  • Assist with apprenticeship and/or workforce development project management processes and procedures, including data tracking, and reporting.
  • Monitors and completes compliance tasks related to the use of grant funds.
  • Disseminate information among team members.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal/external work groups to develop and improve multiparty initiatives for complex business projects that involve local/state/federal grants and apprenticeships initiatives.

Logistical Support – 50%

  • Provides support for day-to-day logistics and implementation related to workforce development initiatives, apprenticeship pipeline development, apprenticeship enrollment, grant funding opportunities and initiatives, and other solutions-oriented activities.
  • Plan and maintain work systems, follow processes and policies that enable and encourage the meeting of workforce development, apprenticeship, and grant funded project objectives.
  • Responsible for managing the process and monitoring reporting files to ensure complete data in areas such as apprenticeship and grant funding data.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, college degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience supporting grant funding logistics, analysis, or reporting or related.
  • Experience collecting and maintaining required sensitive confidential documentation and data for workforce development, grant-funded and apprentice participants.
  • Working knowledge of software systems/management tools including Excel, SharePoint, and/or WorkHands.
  • Ability to understand new emerging trends related to workforce development and/or apprenticeship and prepare for changes that may occur because of these trends.
  • Able to work independently and be a strong effective team player, committed to delivering timely results; with excellent organization skills and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively use a variety of software and information systems to input, retrieve, manage data, generate reports, prepare spreadsheets/reports and inter-office communications.
