World Hand Soldering Competition 2023

On November 14, IPC hosted the prestigious World Hand Soldering Championship at Productronica in Munich, Germany. This year's competition was a remarkable showcase of skill, with 19 champions representing 16 countries vying for the top honors.

The 2023 IPC World Hand Soldering Competition concluded with astounding results, crowning its champions amidst much fanfare. We are delighted to announce that Yao Tang of Shenyang Railway Signal from China has clinched the coveted title of the 2023 IPC World Hand Soldering Champion. The second place was brilliantly secured by Japan's Keiko Hasebe from Advantest, while the third spot was gracefully earned by Jingjing Xu of Shanghai Railway Communication, also from China.

This year's championship not only celebrated the technical proficiency and precision of the competitors but also highlighted the global talent and excellence present in the field of hand soldering. The high level of competition and the impressive skills displayed by all participants truly made the 2023 Hand Soldering World Championship a memorable and inspiring event.

The Release of IPC Standard 1771 – "EMS Automotive Supplier Check Sheet"

On November 21, IPC's India region proudly announced a significant milestone - the release of IPC Standard 1771, titled 'EMS Automotive Supplier Check Sheet.' This day marks a historic moment in the industry, thanks to the collaborative efforts of global automotive leaders and suppliers.

We are delighted to share that this event saw active participation from 52 automotive industry professionals worldwide, who joined us virtually. Additionally, 35 attendees were present in person, emphasizing the global significance and reach of this initiative.

This initiative is not just a step but a monumental leap forward in enhancing quality and compliance standards within the automotive industry. By establishing new benchmarks for excellence and reliability, IPC Standard 1771 not only improves the performance and safety of automotive products but also fosters a culture of continuous improvement and rigorous standards."

PCB Design Competition Award Ceremony

On November 22, IPC successfully organized an award ceremony for the PCB Design Competition, specifically targeting the India region. This prestigious event saw participation from 14 skilled individuals from across India. The competition was a remarkable display of talent and innovation, as participants showcased their exceptional expertise in PCB design.
