Presentation Highlights:

  • Producing safe, reliable, high-performing PCB products requires persistent attention to detail and commitment to quality throughout the production process. Adhering to IPC standards throughout the process can help companies achieve that. Just as the production processes for PCBs take a step-by-step approach, the IPC standards all build upon one another. With so many standards for PCB design, assembly, manufacturing and inspection, you can implement an IPC standard for nearly every phase of production. To achieve high-quality, reliable products that meet customer expectations, companies involved in the production of PCBs and the products that use them must commit to quality through the use of IPC standards and certifications for printed circuit boards. Essentially, IPC standards matter because they help ensure the end product PCB is of quality.
  • The Indian electronics industry is forecasted to grow to US$300 billion by 2026 from its current level of US$75 billion. This market size explosion has been catalysed by COVID-19 led growth of digital consumption. Electronics manufacturers are also seeking diversification of global value chains.  Indian EMS industry is being hit with component and raw material source shortages particularly for bare PCB boards. Trade wars with certain countries has brought these challenges to the forefront. The import of overall electronics in India was about US$ 65 during 2020-2021. Indian EMS market has a vast spectrum of players ranging from Global MNC’s, Large Indian EMS players to many MSME Players. There are estimates of more than 550+ EMS players in the Indian EMS space, some of them looking towards investing outside India. Last few years COVID 19 have impacted the electronics industry globally. IPC believes 2023 will be the year to regain confidence, morale and build new connections. IPC organized IEMI 2023 in India during August will help forge new business partnerships and Thai electronics industry will find this forum to expand business horizon and forge new strategic partnerships.
