On May 9, An IPC hand soldering competition was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The winner from Divigraph and the runner-up candidates are from MICROTRONIX LTD & Jemstech. Congratulations! The winner of the Africa Region will play IPC Hand Soldering World Championship in Munich Germany in November 2023.

On May 11-12, IPC INDIA hosted a semi-final round of the #wireharness competition in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The winner is SASMOS HET TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, and the runners-up are Ray-Q Interconnection Technologies & Alpha Design Technologies. TTI Ray-Q sponsored the Wire Harness tools.

On May 16, IPC INDIA organized the semifinal round of the Hand Soldering Wire Harness Competition & Industry Networking event at VIDYA VIKAS INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY for the first time in Mysuru. Kaynes Technology India Limited was the winner of the Hand Soldering competition and Vinyas Innovative Technologies was the runner up. Winner of Wire Harness from Cyient DLM & Runners Up from Frauscher Sensor Technology India. Tools were sponsored by JBC Soldering Tools, Advance Tech Services Pvt. On May 17, IPC INDIA organized a webinar on IPC/WHMA-A-620E Redline - Revision D to E (Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies). The event was attended by 100+ industry leaders. Member updates by Mr. Saurabh Saxena, Manager HOD Standards, IPC India. Presentation on "IPC/WHMA-A-620D- Standard Highlights for Electronics Manufacturers" by Ms. Teresa Rowe.

The IPC/WHMA-A-620 is a quality standard that describes the Requirements and Acceptance for Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies. Maintaining quality & standard in cable and harness assembly is a critical component in many types of electronic devices specially used for Automotive, Defense, Medical, Aerospace, ICT, consumer technology, etc.

On May 19, IPC INDIA organized an electronics industry networking event in collaboration with the Nagpur Electronics Association and Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The event was attended by various industry leaders. It provided a platform to share ideas, discuss the future of the industry, and network with like-minded professionals.

On May 25, The IPC hand soldering competition occurred in Colombo Sri Lanka. The winner was Variosystems and the runner-up was GPV. Congrats to the Sri Lankan winner! The winner will compete in the Munich IPC HandSoldering World Championship in November 2023. Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), SLEMEA: Sri Lanka Electronics Manufacturers & Exporters Association, University of Moratuwa, and JBC Soldering Tool sponsored the event   Since decades, #electronicsmanufacturing companies in #srilanka have been associated with IPC #standards & #certifications and have produced reliable and high-quality #electronics.
