IPC Initiative
It is important for manufacturers to invest in research and development in the manufacturing process & entire supply chain. Reliability & quality in the manufacturing process will remain one of the key factors in staying ahead of the curve.
IPC with support from Industry, is studying the ways to improvise “Standards” applicable for design & manufacturing process in the assembly of printed circuit boards used in building mobile & consumer electronics devices, gadgets & appliances.
Through an industry committee drawn from consumer electronics – OEM & EMS, the members are examining and identifying root causes of quality issues. Preliminary survey has been organized in 15 companies and further survey to be organized for 200+ companies in India.
Findings & recommendations of the initial survey will be presented on June 27 Technical session
