This task group is developing IPC-Test Method 2.5.4.2, Conductor Temperature Rise Due to Current Changes in Conductors for Printed Conductor Materials on Textiles and IPC-8971, Requirements for Electrical Testing of Printed Electronics E-Textiles.
Test Method 2.5.4.2 will be used to determine the effect of the temperature rise in printed conductor materials on textiles, due to resistive heating from the electrical current flow. IPC-8971 will establish requirements for electrical testing printed electronics e-textiles, including selecting the test analyzer, test parameters, test data and fixturing required to perform electrical test(s). |
