Career Opportunity: Member Success Advocate

IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries is looking to hire a Member Success Advocate.  The Member Success Advocate maintains customer/member relationships, drives successful membership engagement and other products and services and resources, educate members/industry members on IPC value, assist with and support record and membership maintenance activities. Coordinate with areas such as Business Development, Customer Service, and Outside Sales to support customer needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Membership Support - 50%

  • Onboard new members. Welcome calls to contacts provided. Gather additional contacts and information and capture in NetSuite (NS)
  • Understand member/prospect needs
  • Record all new and upgrade membership opportunities in NS
  • Follow up in a timely fashion on all membership benefits inquiries
  • Support renewal efforts by calling expiring members not yet renewed
  • Coordinate/search for engagement data as necessary to support/drive sales or increase engagement
  • Support recruitment or renewal campaigns through member communication

Product Sales Account Support (validation services, coupon generator, licenses, etc.) – 25%

  • Understand customer/prospect needs
  • Record all new and upgrade product sale opportunities in NS
  • Follow up in a timely fashion on new major product purchases to ensure customer success as assigned
  • Educate on product options during discussions with members/customers

Customer Service / Issue Resolution – 10%

  • Respond to issues received direct or forwarded/escalated
  • Assure complete and satisfactory resolution of issues
  • Maintain high level of customer satisfaction
  • Educate members on processes, policies

Customer visits, exhibitions, conferences, speaking engagements – 10%

Other engagement activities as required – 5%

  • Technical event/committee involvement
  • Represent the member voice on cross-functional or project teams
  • Calls to support event/committee recruitment (Impact, JTA, etc.) or data collection efforts

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Business or Sales.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in account management, sales. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and takes pride in work
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Able to receive negative feedback in a constructive manner
  • Treats colleagues, customers, contractors, and public in a kind, respectful, and professional manner
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), Google Docs, Skype, and GoToMeeting.
  • Ability to travel up to local/domestic 20% of the time.
