In 2004, IPC set up a wholly owned foreign subsidiary (WOFE) in Shanghai, China. This office has been set up in China to better serve the needs of electronics assembly and printed circuit board companies around the world and to increase its presence in China . It is known as IPC Global Technology Management Consulting ( Shanghai ) Co., Ltd.
By definition, a WOFE is an enterprise in China which is 100% owned by a foreign company or companies-- in this case, IPC. Establishment as a WOFE allows IPC to retain complete control and direction of its China office. This IPC office will provide programs for electronics manufacturers to increase their employees' technical education, increase the quality of their operations and provide a variety of tools to enhance their business and become more profitable.
