Career Opportunity: Director of Business Development, Automotive Electronics

IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries is looking to hire a Director of Business Development, Automotive Electronics

The Director of Business Development, Automotive Electronics will be responsible for growing IPC’s Standards, Education, Events and Advocacy footprints within the Automotive Electronics industry - in North America.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strategies and implement tactics to enhance IPC’s relationships with the key OEMs and Tier 1 Systems providers. 
  • Gain deep understanding of the critical issues facing the automotive, trucking and heavy equipment segments as it relates to electronics, and work with IPC’s technical teams to identify solutions 
  •  
  • Work with OEMs and Tier 1s to identify new standards and design new training programs for key suppliers in the value chain to positively impact the industry’s bottom line.
  • Generate Enterprise Membership sales

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or business,
  • 7-10 years of sales, marketing, project management or  product management experience, preferably with an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Systems provider
  • Familiarity with IPC standards preferred
  • Familiarity with automotive certification programs preferred
  • Must be able to travel around 30% of the time including International
