IPC -- Association Connecting Electronics Industries has released the US Printed Wiring Board Industry Book-to-Bill Ratio for March 1999. The Book-to-Bill ratio for March 1999 was 1.04, unchanged from the February 1999 ratio of 1.04.

Sales billed (shipments) in March 1999, increased 9.1% over March 1998 and orders booked for March 1999 showed an increase of 13.6% over March 1998.

As compared to 1998, 1999 bookings of PWBs are up 5.1% year-to-date, while1999 shipments of PWBs are up 2.2% year-to-date.

The information provided includes data for both rigid and flexible PWB manufacturers that participate in IPC's monthly Statistical Program. These participants represent over 40% of the US domestic printed wiring board market. IPC releases this book-to-bill information monthly.
