The Association Connecting Electronics Industries (IPC) has released the US Printed Wiring Board Industry Book-to-Bill Ratio for September 1999. The Book-to-Bill ratio for September 1999 was 1.05.

Sales billed (shipments) in September 1999, increased 8.3% over September 1998 and orders booked for September 1999 showed an increase of 5.1% over September 1998.

As compared to 1998, 1999 bookings of PWBs are up 5.5% year-to-date.

1999 shipments of PWBs are up 6.8% year-to-date.

The information provided includes data for both rigid and flexible PWB manufacturers that participate in IPC's monthly Statistical Program. These participants represent over 40% of the US domestic printed wiring board market. IPC releases this book-to-bill information monthly.
